The first Garden Festival held in June 2006 was a true voyage of discovery for everyone. The word had been put out amongst friends in the dance music underground that a perfect little spot on the Dalmatian coast had been found and the party was on!

About 120 brave souls made the trip from the U.K and although some unseasonably windy weather kept the numbers down it made for such an intimate family vibe that friendships were forged that last to this day. A rollicking extended boat party with the Faith boys has since become the stuff of party legend, some fabulous live shows from Alice Russell Band and the Reel People were highlights and the Saturday night mash-ups from the No Fakin crew and sundays closing celebrations with Mr Scruff have gone on to be perennial favorites. When the sun finally came out on Sunday there was an unmistakable feeling among the few that they had stumbled upon something special that would continue to develop over the coming years.
