YEARBOOK 2011
The Garden Festival2011 went Back To Our Roots by returning to a single event, stretched over an entire week of relentless sunshine and good times.
The Garden’s growing reputation attracted a sell-out gathering of 2,500 thrill seekers to our magical setting on the shores of Petrcane – creating an electric atmosphere without sacrificing any of the festival’s intimate ambience.
Love and unity was the overwhelming attitude as like-minded souls shared the unique experience of dancing beneath the sunshine and stars to a mesmerising soundtrack of beatific beats.
On the main stage, musical pioneers such as Greg Wilson, Odyssey Live, Robert Owens and the timeless Larry Heard played sets that are destined to become part of Garden Family folklore.
Good Times were had by all aboard our now legendary Argonaughty Boat Parties, setting sail across sapphire waters and crimson sunsets with Captain Dominic at the helm and crew of world-class DJs such as Norman Jay, Soul Clap, Art Department and Wolf & Lamp putting all hands on decks.
Late nights evolved into early mornings as the Resident Advisor sponsored after-parties drew crowds of glitter faced clubbers to Barbarella’s Discotheque – at least those who ignored the call of a canoeing wildman inviting the fearless to stumble upon a feral techno rave in the woods.
The walk of shame never felt so satisfying as when sharing stories with newly forged friends as the sun rose over the Adriatic to expose a new dawn, a new day…and the promise of doing it all again!
It was more than merely a music festival – it's a place where everyone can embrace a magical spirit that will stay in your memories forever.
