Top 10 Garden Tips

Spring has sprung here in Zadar and with only 99 days to go until the festival begins it means that summer is on the way too!!We had a very busy February & March with The Garden Get Together Tour and thanks to all of you who joined us in different cities across Europe, and also a big thanks to all of you who have shown your support and have already bought your tickets for July. We are really chuffed that music lovers from all over the world will be travelling from as far away as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, USA and Canada to join us, as well as those of you closer to home from Holland, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Sweden, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Ireland, UK and of course Croatia. It’s going to be a proper melting pot of like-minded, music-loving Gardeners! So our 10 top tips for this month :

1. Name That Voyage Competition
If you want a chance to win festival tickets then just follow this link to Argonaughty Comp as we still have a couple of boat parties that are waiting for their voyage names. The competition closes on April 30th when the captain of The Argonaughty will choose the best two entrants. The winners will receive 2 tickets to their named voyage plus 2 festival tickets for that weekend (if you win and have already purchased your tickets then you will be given a refund, so this is open to everyone)

2. Line-Up & Programme
We are now very close to finalising the line-up and programme for this year's festival, and are just waiting on a few headline acts still to confirm with us before completing, but expect a couple of crackers!!. There will be a downloadable PDF of all set times and a full line-up by the end of this month, so you can start to plan where you want to be, who with & when..
Check here for recent line-up updates and confirmations and click on the individual artist for more details.

3. The Garden Zadar
The Garden (see pics) in Zadar's old town is going to be programmed for the 1st time for the full 10 days of the festival and will be linked by taxi boat to the festival site (appx 15 mins). We are also pleased to announce that we will be opening our restaurant this year, so you will be able to enjoy some great grub washed down with fine wines, followed by cocktails, accompanied by a musical backdrop supplied by some of the finest purveyors of quality sound. You can reserve a table or a cabana at the Garden Zadar by emailing eat@thegardenzadar.com - make sure you take time to meander through the ancient backstreets of Zadar and soak up the history as it really is a very special city.

....are being hosted by :

Tickets are still at the bargin early-bird price of 5 GBP, so get them whilst they are still available from here.

5. Airport transfers
We can arrange your transfers from Zadar or Split to Petrcane village. We try to keep the price as low as possible - the more that book up the better the price for everyone. From past experience though there are always lots of last minute people who come and ask us about this service in June - it is really difficult for us to organise these last minute requests, so please, please - if you would like a transfer, fill in the online form asap. We will not be sending confirmation emails until May when we have collated all requests, but the sooner this is sorted the better for all (probably most of all Charlotte in the office!). If we are unable to arrange transfers from other airports we will pass on these requests to a reputable local company.

6. Flights
If you have not got your flights sorted out yet then this is a useful link for flights around the world into Zadar. Other good information can be found on Skyscanners – and of course there is more information on our website here and Croatia Airlines who is the official carrier for The Garden Festival.

7. Yacht Charter
For those of you that are looking for a life on the ocean wave why not get together with your friends and charter your very own wooden gulet from Exclusive Travel Croatia. They range in size and of course price , but if you fancy dropping anchor in the bay of Petrcane and being captain of your own ship then it is definately worth a browse - even if just something to dream about!!

8. Original Music Travel
If you haven’t the time to arrange your own tickets, travel, accommodation and airport transfers then go to www.originalmusictravel.com as they are offering tailor made packages to The Garden Festival. Whether you are a couple on a budget or a large group who would like to stay on a yacht OMT will be able to help you out.

9. The Garden Festival World Cup
World Cup games are going to be shown during the Garden Festival in Barbarella’s Discotheque before it gets turned into the afterparty venue. It will be table and waiter service with full air-con to keep you nice and chilled. Big games will be shown on our cinema screen outside on the festival site, but if you are not into the footie, don’t worry as we will make sure that you can get away from it.

10. Facebook Competition
Facebook is the best way to keep up to date with everything that's happening over here as well as free music downloads and give aways (we move with the times!). We'd like as many people as possible to join us and have a chat about all things Garden so if you invite your friends to join we'll offer one lucky person and a friend that they've invited a free massage at the festival.
