What is the nearest airport?
Zadar is the nearest airport, only 20 mins by car. Split is 90 mins by car and Zagreb 3 hours by car. These journey times are for the highway route and will take a little longer by bus / coach.

How can I get from the airport to the festival site?
We can organise airport transfers to the village of Petrcane. Please see the travel and accommodation page for more details.
Alternatively you can make your own way to fit in with your travel plans. There are shuttle buses from all airports to the main centre bus terminals, and from all cities you will find regular buses to Zadar. Once at Zadar main bus terminal take a local bus to Petrcane. Prices are approximate and based on last year but as a guide:
Zadar airport to Zadar bus station ... 25kn
Zadar to Petrcane ... 12kn
Split Airport to Split bus station ... 30kn
Split to Zadar ... 60kn
Zagreb Airport to Zagreb bus station ... 30kn
Zagreb to Zadar ... 120kn -
Can I hire a car?
Yes, so long as you are over 21 years old and have held a licence for minimum of 1 year.

What is the train and bus service like in Croatia?
Basically, forget trains! The buses are altogether quicker, cheaper and connect all cities with a regular service. You can buy tickets on board the bus, but you should get a receipt. Longer journeys have service stops included in the travel time.

My tickets have not arrived in the post.
We do not post any tickets, but ask that you print off your PayPal receipt and bring to the box office with valid ID to collect.

How do I collect my tickets?
Just bring your PayPal receipt and ID to the box office to collect.

I have lost my PayPal receipt – what shall I do?
Don't panic... just email info@thegardenzadar.com and we will be able to assist you.

What time will the box office be open?
It will be open from July 6th till July 13th. Actual opening hours will be announced on the website nearer the time.

I can’t go anymore – can I get a refund?
Sorry, but no. However, you can pass the ticket onto a friend. See next question on how.

Can my friend collect my tickets?
Yes, a friend can collect your tickets if you are no longer able to attend. Just email info@thegardenzadar.com with your details and the new ticket holders name and email address. We will then send a confirmation to both parties confirming that the tickets will be ready to be collected under the new name. There is no charge for this, but we can not offer this service after 22nd June 2010.
Food and Drink

Can we bring our own food and drink onto the site and boat parties?
No, you can’t, but there are plenty of bars selling cocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks and also food is available too.

Where is there to eat?
Either at the festival site or at one of the "konobas" (restaurants) in the village, which is a 5 minute walk from the festival site.

What is the price of drinks on the site?
The bars have not fixed their prices for next season yet, but last year a 1/2 litre of draught beer was 20 kn and cocktails 30 kn - 70 kn. Wines, spirits and soft drinks are of course available too.

Where is the lost property held?
In the production office.

Where is the nearest hospital?
In Zadar town, 8km away. If you need medical attention at the hospital then take your passport with you as there is a reciprocal arrangement for UK passport holders. Citizens from other countries should check with their embassy if there is a reciprocal arrangement. You should also check your travel insurance prior to travel to see what you are covered for.

Will there be 1st Aid on site?
Yes. They are located on the approach to the festival.

Drugs?
Drugs are looked upon very seriously by the Croatian Police.

I am not staying in Petrcane, the festival village. Is there a good taxi service late at night?
Taxis can be found at the entrance to the festival site in Petrcane main car park and they are metered. There will also be a minibus service that will travel between all the local villages and town.

What currency is it in Croatia?
The currency is the kuna (kn / HRK) although accommodation is always priced in euros (but then charged in kunas).

Where is the nearest ATM?
It is a 30 minute walk up a hill at the gas station on the main road, or 30 min walk to the other side of Punta Skala. Money can be drawn from the post office in Petrcane on Mastercard ,Visa and Maestro
In Zadar there are plenty of banks and ATMs. -
What times are the local buses to Zadar town from Petrcane?
When the summer 2010 timetable is announced we will make the info available.

Where is The Garden in Zadar?
It is in the old town of Zadar sitting on the city walls. Follow directions for Hotel Bastion and The Sea Organs.
