Sean Brosnan

Sean Brosnan

If you have ever wondered what the future sounds like, one DJ that may have the answer is Sean Brosnan. He is responsible for compiling the converted compilation series ‘Future Disco’. As the name suggests this is a collection of disco. But not disco per say, more a collection of interesting electronic music; from a new Balearic groove to peak time house. This smooth transition in cross genres is probably what best describes Sean Brosnan as a DJ too.

A DJ that is happy to pitch up and create an atmosphere, whether it be beach, bar or club. Managing to create a soundtrack that fits the moment is a skill that can be only crafted over many years in the booth.

Having developed a name on the south coast of England in the late nineties, including a residency at the famous Manor nightclub in Ringwood, Sean moved to London in 2002. Here he built the reputable Warm night in East London, showcasing many of the then unknown, cutting edge international guests including Ame, Lindstrom, Dixon, Chateau Flight and many more. The night’s success took him around the country and to the UK’s biggest clubs and festivals including Fabric, The End, Big Chill among others.

Throw in four years at one the biggest and most respected independent dance labels Azuli, and Sean has all the ingredients to ensure the new project and record label Needwant is every bit as long lasting and successful. Needwant is not only the outlet for the flourishing Future Disco series, but the home to a collection of must own singles as well as Sean’s own burgeoning productions. Today he can be found DJing internationally as well as residencies at some of London’s best venues.

Past, present or future, Sean seems to be taking the best of all three and creating something new for 2010 and beyond.
